Sarnia Girls' Soccer Club

Meet the Head Coach

We are really excited to welcome a "new" face to the organization, Steve LeBlanc ChPC (Chartered Professional Coach) as our Club Head Coach!

The Club Head Coach role will be to provide technical expertise in matters of coaching and player development, which is to say, trying to improve our program with better coaches and better players.

Steve has been involved in the game for over 35 years, as a player, coach, parent, referee and coach educator. He holds designations from the OSA, USFF, NSCAA, NCCP and Coerver Coaching. His highest technical achievement is an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He also holds the NSCAA's National Goalkeeping Diploma, is a graduate of the National Coaching Institute of Ontario's Advanced Coaching Diploma, and is a professional chartered coach in soccer with the Coaching Association of Canada. Since 2013, Steve has been delivering Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train and Soccer for Life courses for the Ontario Soccer Association. He is a strong proponent of the principles of Long Term Player Development.

In the Sarnia soccer community, Steve has coached house league and competitive soccer for Sarnia Girls S.C., Sarnia F.C. and Bluewater S.C. and continues to play (ever more slowly!) in the Sarnia Men's Industrial Soccer Over-35 League. He also assists with the Lambton College OCAA women's soccer team.

If you have a question, Steve can be reached by e-mail at SGSCclubheadcoach@gmail.com, or by cell at (519) 466-1660.
